Overview⌗

Experienced documentation platform engineer and author of software documentation. Skilled at driving documentation efforts in software engineering teams. Actively contributing to open-source documentation tools as both a professional and hobbyist.

I’ve spent the last year of my career writing open source documentation for users and developers. My professional experience is with Sphinx documentation, but I’ve also worked with Hugo and Docusaurus.

I have one year of experience writing production Python code and am comfortable with Java and C#. Because of my work with static site generators, I also have basic proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

In university, my studies were focused on cryptography and neuroevolutionary algorithms. I also spent the last two years of my studies working as a program assistant, where I supported students of the University of Washington’s School of Engineering and Technology.

Experience⌗

Technical Author @ Canonical: January 2025 – Present

  • Led the documentation efforts of ’Starcraft’, the team behind Canonical’s suite of ’craft’ packaging tools
  • Upskilled engineers on documenting their own projects with in-person workshops at Canonical engineering summits
  • Facilitated cross-team collaboration through a dedicated Jira board and sprint planning channel for internal contributors
  • Increased the team’s responsiveness through regular triage and prioritization of the documentation issues reported by users

Program Assistant @ University of Washington: April 2023 – January 2025

  • Planned and hosted weekly workshops supporting math and computer science students
  • Set up 1-on-1 learning sessions with students when a more tailored learning experience was beneficial for them
